Winners Drink Milk

There are certain moments in sports that feel bigger than the event itself.

The winner of the Indy 500 drinking milk is one of them.

Recently, Concept One Media partnered with DMI and the American Dairy Association Indiana to create a cinematic sizzle reel celebrating the legacy of this uniquely American tradition and the dairy farmers connected to it.

Using archival and modern race footage sourced through Penske Entertainment, the piece was designed to capture the emotion, energy, and history surrounding the Indy 500—from roaring engines and checkered flags to the iconic moment in Victory Lane that generations of fans instantly recognize.

What made the project especially interesting was balancing nostalgia with modern pacing and cinematic storytelling. The goal wasn’t simply to recap race history, but to reinforce how deeply the milk tradition is woven into the identity of the event and the people behind it.

Projects like this are a reminder that great branded content often works best when it focuses less on promotion and more on cultural connection, emotion, and authenticity.

For nearly a century, winners at the Indy 500 have celebrated with milk—and for dairy farmers, that moment represents far more than a photo opportunity. It’s become part of the race’s history, identity, and tradition.
